I second that one Cool
ERTL WAS GOING TO DO THE ROCKFORD CAR, had the box art set, wouldn't pay Universal's high licensing fees, That old show is still really popoular and they demand high licensing rates. Too bad, it woulda been neat!
I just love those old dodge chargers.Smile

The Rockford Files is in my top 3 favorite all-time TV shows! Jimmy's the man!

It's hard to understand why Universal would rather get nothing for nothing, than something for nothing! And to be honest, it's nothing that exciting of a car! I agree - too bad!
Mine too!

I have a background in tv production, was a car wrangler for a season or three, have written (but not SOLD, dammit!) some tv drama, Rockford is one of the best ever!

I have a pretty extensive collection re: old tv drama. My favorites are probably Rockford, David Janssen's Harry O, Mannix (after the first year), and a few others. BTW, Mannix is finally becoming available on dvd, starting with the first year (and the infamous Mannix Roadster starting with ep. 3) His cars after the first year, Darts and Cudas, were far better IMO.

I'm a plastic modeler as well as a diecast collector, have a small number of tv cars from kits. I'm moving to Vegas in the next few weeks, will have more room in the new place for photos and display. I'll keep you posted re: a new website. Thanks for your efforts here!

I had forgotten about Harry O! Man, I'd love to have that on DVD. Another of my all-time favorites is Maverick, the series with Garner, and Alias Smith and Jones!
