Just got the Ertl Authentics 1/18 1969 Dodge Charger R/T with dog-dish wheels and love it! Paint is excellent and I can't get over the authentic wheels and interior. A little pricey but I'm willing to spend a little extra on the Mopar diecast. Anyone else have it? There's a chase car also but the Magnum wheels look a little too "family car" to me.
wow, living here in wales is poor for american muscle, the few model shops that were around have all but disapeared and e-bay is the only option left Sad

i bought the american muscle elite limited to 1254 of the dodge charger daytona in red with the white fin for 57 pounds, saw it for 24 us dollars online the other day. We have to wait for ages before they hit our shores and then they cost a premium. i cant belive 1:18 isn't more popular.

nice model by the way, i own the limited edition above, the peach state limited edition 1 of 2500 dodge charger daytona in silver with the black fin, a hot wheels dodge 69 440 rt in brown and the obligatory general lee by joyride as well as the 70's charger from the fast and the furious.

(turned 31 today and had a new 8.1 mp camera so as soon as i get it conected will post some pics for ya'all )
Hi bigblock, it must be so frustrating not having more access to affordable 1:18 diecast cars over there! It seems that someone with money would get serious about setting up a major European diecast distributorship that would make these things available and affordable to everyone. It would surely be profitable! Something I've always wondered: Is trade between the countries open, similar to shipping within the US? Or are there import taxes and tarriffs?

Looking forward to your pics!
sorry guy's the files from the new camera are just to big, had to revert to my old one so here they are

That green Superbird is great! Cool

I need one oif those in my zoo! Rolleyes

I have a friend whose dad owned a Plymouth/Chrysler dealer in Florida, he says they had a really hard time selling those cars when they were new! The one he remembered, a yellow 440 torqueflite, didn't sell for over two years. They had it on a display rack, at the front of the lot at first, then just kept moving it farther back. Said it finally went away sometime in 1972, for 'no money'.

Funny how this hobby seals us off sometimes from the real history of the cars we collect. The coolest scale product isn't always a representative of the best, the most timely, or the best-remembered!
