just had to rant a little. HW Elite, Super Elite, Soooper Dooooper Elite. What gives? Elite=$$, Super Elite=$$$$$$ Sooooooper Dooooooper Elite (I'm sure it's coming)=$$$$$$$$$$$.

Are these cars really worth that much more? I don't have any, and really, all they are doing is pricing them out of my range. :-(

Wouldn't you rather spend the money on something from Auto Art or Kyosho or one of those better brands?
Well Ferrari fans dont have much of a choice, specially current models. Still they are a lil cheaper than the other brands. I do agree with the Super Elites though too. Their are soo many different types of diecasts way over priced.Smile
How much are ferrari elites worth because i live in the uk and i can't find them for sale anywhereSmile
I agree 100% mark! I prefer to call them OverPriced, Way OverPriced, and Absurdly Overpriced. Like Redline said though, what are the Ferrari guys going to do when Mattel has the exclusive? They're going to buy them! To be honest, I am personally not interested in 99% of 1/18 Hot Wheels items and really can't imagine paying Elite kind of money for one. From what I've seen, dollar-for-dollar the Mattel diecast just don't stack up with Autoart, Kyosho, GMP, etc. Not even close...
Oh - right. I forgot about HW exclusivity with the Ferraris. But that must be limited to only certain models of Ferrari? I've seen newer releases of Kyosho 365 GTB/4, for example and I've seen other way more expensive brands of Enzo and others (BBR brand)
I am personally boycotting the Elite diecast lines. I realize it is just a marketing gimmick but it kills all of the collectible value of the model to have it in three different lines. There should just be one affordable line - Hot Wheels is not known as a super-high quality diecast maker anyway. They should just stick to what they are good at instead of trying to go all autoart on us! Wink
Well - I guess I'm kinda boycotting them too. Mostly because I don't usually spend that much for a car, but on the rare occasion that I do, it isn't a Hot Wheel.

elitewoody - I'm sure there are plenty of online retailers who sell these cars, but I haven't really sought them out. If you check out ebay, you'll get a good idea what they're selling for. What they're "worth"? Not sure...
