This started out as a american muscles model kit (all the cars i do are 1:18th scale diecast)

i built it.. painted it.. and wasnt happy with the 409... so i got a autoart corvette callaway c12 for the ls1 and suspension, and i got a muscle machines acura nsx for the turbos.. now i have a twin turbo ls1 64 impala ss

this is great. by the way were do you take your pics at, they come out very good.
nice...
hay were do you get your 1/18 diecast model kits?
i take the pictures in my room. made a picture booth out of the Elmers foam board.. and a couple of Flourestant lights (sp?)

As for the model kit.. they are pretty hard to find, I got this one at a swap meet for 20 bucks. you can often find them on e-bay for about 20-35 bucks. Ertl/American Muscle are the only ones that made 1:18th kits that i know of.

ya I was wondering because I spent an hour looking for 1:18 die cast models and all that I can find it 1:24 (witch I dont like). But I guess you can buy a regular 1:18 model on sale or for cheap and sand, primer and paint it and add stuff to it. I might try that one day. all so do you use plastic model kit paint or is there a special kind to get to do diecast?
That is a sweet modded ghetto sled! Great work!
