With skinnies up front and massive slicks in the rear, this chopped-top '57 Chevy was one of the very first Hot Wheels 1/18 scale models I bought in year 2000, around the time I started collecting diecast cars. Sporting five spoke wheels and cut-out rear wheel wells, along with traction bars and huge side pipes, the 426 cubic inch hemi-powered purple custom machine is built for some serious performance. Whatever the get-up, the make-up or the iteration, the '57 Chevy remains a real automotive favorite.

personally, i hate GMC.
The side trim looks as though it belongs on a '55
