How do you like to display your diecast? The majority of mine are displayed in the box. Couple of reasons; 1) don't have a closed display case to keep them dust free, and 2) thinking I may resell someday, and want to keep in original box to keep the value.
If you can get past the image that my wall looks kind of like a store shelf, it's not too bad to look at!
I do have several that are not in the box, though, either because I don't have the shelf space or don't have the box at all...
hi out the box they look better but i keep the boxes too theres NO WAY ill resell mine some of them like the autoart mad max car took me 3 mouths to get wot kind of cars you got
I personally display out of the box just because I have some good lighted glass cabinets that fit 1/18 models perfectly. If I didn't have the cabinets I would definitely keep them in the box. Sealed boxes retain so much resale value and if the box is nice, makes the model look better.
i never kept any boxes because i didn't have the room. Now i keep all the boxes because i own my house. I like to display the models in the lighted units because they look better (see subaru 22b) but i always keep the straps/screws/base/box because i get bored and change them round.
Besides when you come to sell (if) you decide to sell the boxes always help.

For now mine stay in the box. Eventually I will get a nice cabinet then they will b out of their boxes. Then it will b time to find a place for the empty boxes.
bigblock, I wish I had gotten all of the Universal Hobbies Ford GT models when they came out. I passed and then the next thing I know, they're all gone. Also, I never knew that Solido made an Aston Martin DBR9! What is the quality like?
