My 1:1 collection

Well, this seems to be the proper forum for this thread. Both cars are 1965 Malibu SS cars (not clones). The blue convertible is a 6 cyl. SS car (yes, Chevrolet made them in 64/65 only) and made 1133 of them. The gold hardtop is a V8/4-speed car (my daily driver). I only collect 1965 Chevelles and I am looking to purchase my 9th one (my wife is not to happy about that).

Thanx for looking,

Frank

RE: My 1:1 collection

Hi Frank,

What great cars! A Chevy man myself, the convertible would be perfect if it was a hardtop! Wink I own a '72 Chevelle (not the one in the avatar) and will post some pics next time I get her out of the garage. It's a Malibu 350 that stays in the garage other than about once a month to warm her up a little and keep the gaskets soft. With the 750 Edelbrock and gas prices at $4, she's not a daily driver!

Question: Is that shade of gold an authentic '65 color?

Thanx, and yes the color is a 65 Malibu color and is known as "Sierra Tan" (code S-S). It isn't a very common color though.

The Sierra Tan looks great Frank. You should toss some GM Rally wheels on her! ;-)
